This is the mother of all athletic contests. It tests any athlete and what he is made of. There is no bigger day for a triathlete than the day of Ford Ironman World Championship. Triathletes from all around the globe participate in this contest. There will be athletes from all fifty states and fifty different countries in this this competition. Every year tens of thousands of triathletes try to participate in the Ironman competition, but only seventeen hundred of them make it to the final round.

This competition includes running, biking and swimming. It is the ultimate test of endurance. It begins with two and a half mile swimming through the tough ocean waves. Then they get on to their bike and cover a hundred and twelve mile course. Finally they have to run 26.2 miles to reach the finish line. And out of these seventeen hundred competitors the person reaches there first will be crowned as the Ironman.

To take part in this competition one has to go through the qualifying rounds. They are held all over the world. The unique part is that the average people get a chance to compete against the best in the world.

Akaka Falls, one of Hawaii’s most beautiful sights, is not only an amazing place to visit but also stores some unexpected surprise for you. The name of the falls or park does not suggest that there is another equally beautiful falls ere to watch. The name of this second falls is Kahuna. You will enjoy the panoramic beauties well before you reach the falls.

When you approach the falls, you will hear it before you can see anything. You might feel that gentle cool breeze coming in form the ocean. Keep moving forward and soon enough you will catch the glimpse of the falls through the trees. Before you realize you will be at the area from where you can enjoy the entire falls and all the beauties surrounding it. The falls is narrow, falls straight down four hundred and twenty feet. It may not be the biggest falls in Hawaii, but certainly the most accessible.

Before you get to the main attraction, you might want to take a look at the Kahuna falls which is hundred feet. Unlike the main falls, water here slides down the mountain. This falls s partially hidden.

From the entrance of the park up to the falls is at least half hour walk. The ups and downs and uneven pavement cannot take away the beauty surrounding it. Enjoy it while you are there.
